Tottenham hesitated a lot in their negotiations to sign Luis Diaz from Porto which allowed Liverpool to swoop in and sign him from under their noses, according to the player's father.
Spurs were in talks to sign the Colombian and were leading the race for his signature before the Reds sensationally hijacked the move in the final few days of the January window.
Liverpool went on to sign Diaz in a deal worth up to £50million, leaving Spurs gazumped in their efforts and Antonio Conte furious that he missed out on a top target.
