Stoke City admit they 'failed to meet standards' for their women's team after their ground was compared to a LANDFILL SITE with 'broken fences and mould in changing rooms'... despite owners being worth £8.4bn

Stoke City have admitted failing their women's team having faced an online backlash after their home ground was compared to a landfill site.

Images of Community Drive, which has been rented by the club since the summer of 2016, were posted on social media by former Stoke City Women's player Rachael Ball on Sunday.

Ball shared the posted photos after watching the club's 2-0 win over Liverpool Feds in National League Northern Premier Division, the third tier of English football.

'3rd tier in women's football??? Might as well be playing in a landfill,' Ball wrote.
