After 18 years as a professional, Steven Gerrard has called time on his playing career.

The 36-year-old left LA Galaxy earlier this month and he has now decided to call it a day after weighing up his options.

He secured legendary status at boyhood club Liverpool, making 710 appearances and scoring 186 goals, many of which as captain.

Gerrard has some great highlights, including that famous comeback victory in the 2005 Champions League final, plus triumphs in the FA Cup [twice], League Cup [three times], the UEFA Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
