Dirk Kuyt has backed former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard to turn down the "easy" option of going into punditry in favour of becoming a manager, something he believes he would be "great" at.
Gerrard, 36, retired last week after leaving LA Galaxy and although he turned down the opportunity to manage MK Dons, Kuyt said he expects him to get involved with a club before too long.
"I don't think he needs much more money but he loves the game too much not to go into management," Kuyt, who played alongside Gerrard for six seasons at Anfield, said in the Liverpool Echo.
