Liverpool fans were delighted to see Harvey Elliott mark his return to action with a goal in the Reds’ 3-1 win over Cardiff in the FA Cup.
The teenager suffered a serious ankle injury against Leeds in September and has been sidelined for the last five months.
He returned to training in January, before Jurgen Klopp brought him on as a 58th-minute substitute at Anfield this afternoon.

It was clear just how much the goal meant to the teenager after five months on the sidelines
Just 18 minutes later, Elliott controlled Andy Robertson’s cross in the centre of the box before unleashing an unstoppable shot past Dillon Phillips.
