Scotland's football team has wished Graeme Souness good luck ahead of his bid to swim the English Channel to raise money and awareness for the fight against devastating skin condition Epidermolysis bullosa, or 'butterfly skin'.
Souness featured for his national side between 1974 and 1984 and enjoyed spells in Scottish football too, with stints at Rangers as both a player and later a manager.
The former Liverpool midfielder is set to undertake the challenge this weekend in attempt to raise £1.1million for the charity DEBRA's A Life Free from Pain appeal, in tribute to his playing number, 11.
