Jurgen Klopp's backing of Virgil van Dijk for last year's Ballon d'Or 'left a bitter taste' for Sadio Mane, according to reports in France.
The Senegal star excelled in 2018-19 with 26 goals to propel Liverpool towards a sixth Champions League success and almost to the Premier League title too.
But it was van Dijk who gathered personal acclaim, clinching the PFA Player of the Year and second place behind Lionel Messi for the Ballon d'Or prize.

Yet it was Klopp's support for his Liverpool's team-mate that left Mane upset with his coach, claim France Football.
