A stalwart of the Boot Room era, Evans believes Klopp’s team is close to becoming “a force to be reckoned with” in the Premier League and said he has been delighted with what he has witnessed in the last 12 months.
Evans’ Liverpool teams of the mid to late 90s were renowned for some scintillating football and he thinks the German has given his players licence to entertain when they cross the white lines.
He feels they just need to add one thing to their game, something which his own teams were sometimes criticised for too.
He told the ECHO: “So far, so good, I’ve been delighted with what I’ve seen from Jurgen’s team.
