Report: Liverpool Ladies suffer Arsenal defeat

In fairness the scoreline was very harsh on Scott Rogers' charges who played well, and with a little more luck could easily have taken something from the game, but the Gunners were more clinical in front of goal.

Arsenal have now closed the gap to just one point behind third placed Liverpool Ladies in the Women’s Super League.

Ahead of the clash at the Select Security Stadium in Widnes, Rogers was dealt a pre-match blow with the news goalkeeper Siobhan Chamberlain was absent through injury and he was also without Amy Turner who came off the field early during Sunday’s FA Cup win over Watford.
