Reds to battle for teenage striker

The 19-year-old has broken into the team at Paris FC this season, scoring eight goals in Ligue 2 and catching the eye of teams in England, Italy and Spain.

The Reds have been scouting the rangy forward, but as have Barcelona, Newcastle and Fiorentina, all of whom are interested in making a move in the close season, reports Get French Football News.

Paris FC assistant manager Stéphane Gilli confirmed that Liverpool and Barca had been scouting the new sensation, but also that the club would like to hang onto one of their prized assets.

"Obviously it is the director of football who will be managing that situation, but clearly we would like to keep hold of him," said Gilli.
