Reds help raise more than £18k for Poppy Appeal

The Reds proudly wore the poppy-embroidered jerseys at their Remembrance fixture, showing their support for serving members of the Armed Forces, as well as veterans of all ages and their families.

Jordan Henderson handed 23 autographed shirts over to The Royal British Legion (RBL) in a special presentation at Melwood last year, and the items were then individually auctioned on eBay with all funds raised going directly to the RBL.

The Liverpool captain said: “It’s important for the team to have the opportunity to wear the poppy on our shirts to show our respects.

“We are extremely thankful for the amazing sacrifices that the Armed Forces make and it’s important to raise funds to support their work.
