Liverpool's first-team players have signed and donated match-worn shirts in support of the Disasters Emergency Committee's Coronavirus Appeal, which is supporting people living in refugee camps and fragile states across the world most at risk in the pandemic.
Each of the signed shirts – used during the Reds’ 4-0 win over Southampton in February 2019 – have now been donated to the DEC, a unique alliance of the United Kingdom’s leading aid agencies that raises funds to provide rapid relief to people affected by humanitarian crises around the world.
The DEC will auction off the jerseys via Givergy to support its Coronavirus Appeal, which is helping people living in refugee and displacement camps in countries such as Syria, Yemen and Somalia to protect themselves from COVID-19.
