Liverpool earned a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Aston Villa as the Premier League returned on Boxing Day.
Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk both struck in the opening half for the Reds, while Ollie Watkins pulled a goal back for the hosts after the interval.
The Reds, though, sealed victory in the final 10 minutes of the contest through substitute Stefan Bajcetic, who netted his first senior goal for Jürgen Klopp's outfit.
