RB Leipzig missed out on the chance of going level on points with second-place Borussia Dortmund after Ademola Lookman conceded a late penalty as Hertha Berling fought back to earn a point.
Leipzig looked to be in for a tough evening after they conceded the opening goal after just 10 minutes as Liverpool loanee Marko Grujic volleyed home from a corner.
Marvin Plattenhardt, who bagged his third assist in two games, was brought off immediately after setting up the goal with a suspected concussion following a previous head collision minutes earlier.
