Police prepare for arrival of Liverpool and Manchester City with extra security deployed at Etihad to avoid repeat of chaos outside Anfield

Security around the Etihad is bracing itself for the arrival of Liverpool and Manchester City, with extra police deployed to prevent a repeat of the chaos outside Anfield last week.

The team buses will arrive at different entrances to the stadium in the hope that there will not be a large swell of fans surrounding the coaches.

Greater Manchester Police will be monitoring the situation closely and are ready to provide extra support if a large number of City fans wait for Liverpool's arrival.
