Piers Morgan has branded Liverpool's decision to furlough non-playing staff as 'astonishingly stupid' and says the club have damaged their reputation.
The Reds announced on Saturday that they would use a government scheme to pay 80% of staff salaries, with the club paying the remaining 20%.
Liverpool's announcement has been widely criticised, particularly after they announced a club record pre-tax profit of £42 million for the 2018-19 season.

Morgan believes that Liverpool's decision to use a tax payer funded scheme will cause their reputation irreparable damage.
