Philippe Coutinho injury: Liverpool handed boost as star is set for just five to six weeks

Things are not looking good for Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho, after the Brazilian star arrived at hospital today wearing a huge ankle brace.

The attacking midfielder struggled along on crutches while his usually lethal right foot was completely encased in a protective boot.

Coutinho picked up the injury in Liverpool's recent clash with Sunderland, after a challenge with Didier N'dong saw the Brazilian's right ankle take full impact.
