Pep Guardiola insists he 'could not care less' that Antonio Mateu Lahoz will referee Champions League final against Chelsea following Man City boss' previous clashes with Spaniard... but expresses supreme confidence in his side ahead of Porto showdown

Pep Guardiola insists he has not paid too much attention to the fact Antonio Mateu Lahoz will referee Manchester City's Champions League final against Chelsea on Saturday.

The City boss has clashed with the 44-year-old Spanish official on a couple of occasions in recent years, most notably when the Catalan was sent to the stands in their Champions League quarter-final second leg defeat by Liverpool three years ago.

In 2017, Guardiola was also left fuming that Lahoz booked Sergio Aguero for diving rather than awarding a penalty after the City striker was taken down by Monaco goalkeeper Danijel Subasic.
