Liverpool's trip to Southampton on Saturday may be their most difficult match of the season so far. They've had notable wins this term, 4-3 at Arsenal and 2-1 at Chelsea, but traditionally have problems at Southampton, whether at the The Dell or St Mary's.
The last time the Reds won the league title, in 1990, they suffered badly at Southampton as they were thrashed 4-1.
As a side of regular champion quality, they were rarely humiliated but the Saints made a habit of it. In one horrific game back in February 1994 and in the early days of Roy Evans' reign, Liverpool were 4-0 down after an hour before salvaging a modicum of respectability with two late goals.
