LFC chief executive Peter Moore and former Reds midfielder Jason McAteer attended the Parisian OLSC’s pre-match street party to accept three separate cheques on behalf of North Liverpool Foodbank, the Sean Cox Appeal and the Samaritans, ahead of Wednesday night’s Champions League clash with Paris Saint-Germain.

They presented a cheque for €1,981 for North Liverpool Foodbank – an amount which symbolises the year Liverpool won the European Cup in Paris – and €500 to the Samaritans, which was received by McAteer following his moving documentary on mental health released on World Mental Health Day.

Plus, €1,892 was donated to the Sean Cox Appeal to reflect the year the club was founded; this cheque was received by Stephen Monaghan of the Spirit of Shankly, and takes the total raised by the LFC family to more than £60,000.
