Jurgen Klopp believes the fallout over Liverpool’s involvement in the European Super League will run into next season and is braced for abuse to be even worse.
Klopp was startled on Monday when Liverpool’s squad were targeted by angry Leeds fans when they went for a pre-match walk. The fury continued when they arrived at Elland Road with supporters for both teams screaming ‘greedy b******s’ at the team bus.
Klopp feels the resentment for Liverpool will be even stronger when fans are allowed back.
‘I don’t worry about it — I know it will be like this,’ he said.
