Nottingham Forest have made an improved £16million bid for Liverpool right-back Neco Williams.
Williams, who is a regular in the Wales team, has been a target for Forest since the beginning of the transfer window but they have failed to secure his services.
Liverpool turned down the club's opening offer for Williams as they were holding out for the £15million price tag they recently attached to him.
The 21-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Fulham, and delivered a number of impressive performances to help the Cottagers gain promotion to the Premier League.
