Mohamed Salah's luxury Cairo villa was burgled over the weekend with the thieves making away with electrical equipment, local police have reported.
Authorities were first called to the house after the Liverpool star's nephew noticed on Saturday evening that one of the windows was open.
Two police officials said on Monday that the burglars stole only TV receivers from the winger's villa in the upmarket Tagamoa area, some 30 miles east of Cairo city centre, with other 'electrical' items also taken.
A cooking gas cylinder in the 30-year-old's garden proved too heavy for the burglars to steal, the officials said.
