South American football expert Tim Vickery believes Liverpool could hang onto Barcelona target Philippe Coutinho because of the midfielder’s aspirations to start for Brazil at the 2018 World Cup.

Coutinho has been mentioned as a possible replacement for his departing compatriot after emerging as one of the Reds’ most influential players under boss Jurgen Klopp.
