Mo Salah is in contention to play for Liverpool against Leicester on Thursday, telling Jurgen Klopp 'I'm ready!' despite AFCON heartbreak - but Sadio Mane has 'no chance' of featuring after Senegal's triumph

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Mohamed Salah could feature for the club in Thursday night's Premier League visit of Leicester.

The Egyptian was on the losing side in the penalty shootout in Sunday's Africa Cup of Nations final as his side missed out on an eighth title.

Reds team-mate Sadio Mane was on the winning side though as Senegal claimed their first ever AFCON title thanks to his spot kick in the shootout, having missed one in normal time.

And Klopp has confirmed Salah could make his first Liverpool appearance since January 2 against the Foxes, but that Mane will not be available for selection at Anfield.
