Mo Salah's breathtaking campaign has come to somewhat of an abrupt halt with two largely anonymous displays in defeats in the Champions League and the Carabao Cup final and Micah Richards thinks he may know why.
Salah had very little impact as the Reds were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle at Wembley on Sunday, the Magpies ending a 70-year wait for a domestic trophy.
The game followed their elimination from Europe at the hands of PSG on Tuesday, a match where Salah was also kept relatively quiet.
Speaking on The Rest Is Football podcast, former City full-back Richards said: 'don't forget Salah is in Ramadan now as well where he's fasting.
