Liverpool FC Women picked up their first home win of the season by beating Crystal Palace Women 2-1.
Taylor Hinds set the Reds on their way to victory with an excellent finish with barely one minute played of Sunday’s FA Women’s Championship contest.
A slice of luck saw Palace level just after the half-hour mark when Siobhan Wilson’s attempted cross drifted straight in, but Matt Beard’s team struck back almost immediately through Ashley Hodson’s powerful, low drive.
And Liverpool then dug in to resist more sustained Palace pressure in the second half to claim all three points to the delight of the home fans at Prenton Park.
