Mario Balotelli racism claim to be investigated as former Liverpool striker asks 'Is racism legal in France? Or only in Bastia?'

Former Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli says he was racially abused during Nice's 1-1 draw at Bastia on Friday night.

The authorities will investigate after Balotelli, now with Nice after moving from Liverpool last summer, took to Instagram to say he was subjected to monkey noises throughout.

He posted a plain black image alongside a message which said: 'Yesterday the result was right. We will work more and try to get our objective. The referee was good too, but I have a question for French people.
