Mario Balotelli jokes he has been 'eating cardboard' during lockdown

Mario Balotelli has opened up on his struggles during lockdown in Italy and joked that he was 'eating cardboard for the first three days.'

Balotelli is due to resume group training with his Brescia team-mates from May 18 with Serie A planning to resume fixtures again on June 13.

And with fixtures having been suspended since mid-March, the former Manchester City and Liverpool striker concedes he will be a little rusty when he takes to the field again.
