are hoping to claim their first win of the 2017-18 Champions League season when they visit Maribor of Slovenia on Tuesday night.
The Reds have so far drawn both their opening matches in Group E, being held at home to Sevilla before sharing the spoils with Spartak in Moscow.
This is the first competitive match between Liverpool and Maribor, who have a poor record in both the Champions League, and against English opposition.
The Slovenian outfit have only ever won one match against a team from these shores – a 2-1 victory over Wigan in the 2013-14 Europa League – and they have only one victory in Europe’s premier competition to their name (D2 L5), and that came all the way back in 1999.
