Portugal avoided a huge scare as Cristiano Ronaldo came to the rescue to seal a come-from-behind win over European minnows Luxembourg in their Group A World Cup qualifier.
The reigning European champions were stunned after half an hour as Gerson Rodrigues buried home a powerful header beyond Anthony Lopes to give the minnows a shock lead.
Portugal drew level just before the break as former Wolves team-mates Pedro Neto and Diogo Jota combined, with the Liverpool star sending a header into the net after dispatching the youngster's cross.
Ronaldo put Fernando Santos' side early in the second half, finishing off an inviting Joao Cancelo cross before Joao Palhinha wrapped up the contest after heading home a Neto header in the 80th minute.
