Luis Suarez says that Liverpool reached out to him and asked if he could speak to his fellow countryman Darwin Nunez in the midst of his first-season struggles.
Nunez arrived on Merseyside for £85million from Benfica but got off to a rough start in front of net.
Suarez, on international duty, said that leaders within the club asked for the ex-Liverpool striker to speak to his fellow Uruguayan to advise him.
'He has potential, technical ability and physical power that he is demonstrating,' Suarez said (via ESPN Argentina).
