Luis Diaz has not travelled with the Liverpool squad ahead their Carabao Cup clash with Bournemouth on Wednesday night, as he continues to wait for his father's freedom after last week's kidnapping.
Diaz's parents were snatched off the streets of Colombia by four armed men on motorcycles last week, and the footballer was informed of the ordeal shortly before Liverpool's 3-0 win against Nottingham Forest at Anfield on Sunday.
Although his mother Cilenis Marulanda was later freed following the kidnapping, the whereabouts of his father Luis Manuel is still unknown, with Colombia's police and military forces working together in a bid to bring him home safely.
