Moscow’s Luzhniki Stadium is the venue for today’s World Cup final, with Lovren’s Croatia to take on France.
Reds No.6 Lovren has started five of his country’s six games at the tournament so far, and is set to once again marshal Croatia’s backline on international football’s biggest stage of all.
Matip has been an interested onlooker from afar throughout the World Cup, and he wants his fellow centre-back’s team to round off their impressive campaign in glorious fashion.
“I hope so. I think against the French, they are amazing players, but he’s the player I know from this final so we hope that we will see him with the trophy,” Matip told Liverpoolfc.
