Liverpool's Under-18 side have thrashed Manchester United 5-0, with a hat-trick for Oakley Cannonier, the ballboy involved in one of the greatest Reds goals ever.
Liverpool trounced their rivals in the first game of the Under-18 Premier League North season at United's training ground, Carrington, on Saturday.
Cannonier opened the scoring and visiting captain Luca Stephenson doubled the lead after half an hour. The Leeds-born forward then scored two in quick succession in the second half to complete his treble, with Terence Miles rounding the game off.
Cannonier is embedded in the history of the club after his exploits as a ballboy in a famous Champions League night against Barcelona at Anfield on May 7, 2019.
