Liverpool's new Colombian playmaker Luis Diaz was a target for Cardiff City when Neil Warnock was in charge of the Blue Birds back in March 2019, according to the Daily Express.
The 25-year-old made his Reds debut coming on the 58th minute, making an instant impact setting up Takumi Minamino, who scored Liverpool's second of the afternoon, as Jurgen Klopp's side secured a 3-1 victory in the FA Cup.
Diaz looked bright, but the £37.5million January recruit could have been playing for the Reds' opposition should he have made the move to South Wales three years ago.
