Liverpool's FA Cup clash with Shrewsbury is ON with Reds reopening training ground and Peter Krawietz to lead preparations as Jurgen Klopp and Pep Lijnders remain in isolation

Liverpool have reopened the club's training base and their FA Cup clash with Shrewsbury Town will go ahead.

The Reds are still without manager Jurgen Klopp and his assistant Pep Lijnders, who are both isolating and the AXA training centre had to be closed for two days.

But the game on Sunday is on and the training centre has been given the green light to open its doors once more.

Peter Krawietz will lead Liverpool in their FA Cup clash against Shrewsbury Town

A statement on the club's website read: 'The senior training environment in Kirkby was temporarily closed for a 48-hour period following a significant number of suspected positive COVID-19 test results among the playing squad and staff.
