Liverpool would look into any opportunity to bring former sporting director Michael Edwards back to the club.
The Reds are without a sporting director following Jorg Schmadtke's exit in January and boss Jurgen Klopp is to leave at the end of the season.
Edwards joined Liverpool in 2011 and became sporting director in 2016 before leaving in summer 2022.
He has already turned down one approach to return to the Anfield side.
However, the club's owners, Fenway Sports Group, hugely respect and admire Edwards and would explore any chance of getting him back before moving on.
