Former Liverpool stars Stephen Warnock and Nigel Spackman have issued apologies to the club's supporters after suggesting they were to blame for the friendly against Athletic Bilbao being delayed.
The Reds played host to the LaLiga outfit at Anfield on Sunday, drawing 1-1, but the start of the game was pushed back by 30 minutes - with the club revealing it was due to 'issues relating to the access process and matchday operations'.
Fans had been pictured forming long queues at the stadium, and Warnock - working as a pundit for Liverpool FC TV - suggested the problem could have been down to fans arriving late to the ground.
