Liverpool v Leeds: 11 facts and figures on the quarter-final

The teams are meeting for the first time in this competition since 2009, when a David Ngog goal proved enough for Liverpool to claim a third-round win at Elland Road.

In the last fixture between the sides at Anfield, the Reds won 3-1 courtesy of goals from Michael Owen, Danny Murphy and Florent Sinama-Pongolle. On that day in October 2003, Leeds had James Milner, Dominic Matteo and Jermaine Pennant in their line-up.

Only two Liverpool players have ever netted a hat-trick against the Yorkshire club, both at Anfield and both in the league – Gordon Hodgson in 1935 and Roger Hunt in 1961.
