Liverpool Under-23s manager Michael Beale has informed the club he intends to take up a position elsewhere, a source has told ESPN FC.
Sources have told ESPN FC that it is expected Beale will take up a role as assistant manager at Brazilian side Sao Paulo, serving as No. 2 to former Brazil goalkeeper Rogerio Ceni, although a leaving date has yet to be decided.
Sources have also told ESPN FC that a replacement for Beale's position has not been decided, and that speculation linking former Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to the soon-to-be vacant role is "premature.
