Lazio have told Liverpool target Stefan De Vrij has been told he has until Christmas Day to sign his contract extension - or be sold in January.
The defender has been locked in talks with the Italian club over a new deal for months as his current contract is due to expire in the summer.
Fresh terms were thought to be agreed and the Dutchman had been expected to put pen to paper on a long-term deal, which would include a £22million release clause.
However, despite De Vrij seemingly being happy with the contract, it is still not signed and Lazio are getting restless.
