Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva's proposed move to Galatasaray has been thrown into doubt, with the club unwilling to pay the Brazilian's salary demands.
The 30-year-old, who is out of contract at Liverpool in the summer, had been touted for a move to the Turkish giants but has demanded his current £3million annual salary be carried over to his new club.
However, Galatasaray are unwilling to match his current deal and therefore, the move is now likely to be off.
According to reports in Turkey, Galatasaray are now looking at alternatives to Lucas having told the player's representatives their unwillingness to match his wage demands.
