Liverpool are reportedly set to go head-to-head with Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in their bid to land Schalke 04 midfielder Max Meyer, who is understood to be a priority target for Reds boss Jurgen Klopp.
That's according to French daily Le10 Sport (h/t Liverpool Echo's Joe Rimmer), which reported Klopp has been a "huge fan" of the player since his days at Borussia Dortmund.
In fact, the report even goes so far as to state the Anfield helmsman is "willing to do anything" to convince Meyer Merseyside is the destination for him after his gleaming progress at the Veltins-Arena.
