Liverpool look set to miss out on the signing of Julian Brandt, with the winger set to sign a new contract at current club Bayer Leverkusen.
Brandt, who is also a target for Bayern Munich, has been linked with a move away from the German club because a clause in his contract would allow him to leave for as little as £11 million.
Leverkusen have been working constantly to convince the 21-year-old to stay as a result.
And, according to Bild, it seems as though their persistence will be rewarded.
The German international is set to sign a new deal that will remove the problematic release clause.
