Liverpool are lining up a move for £39million-rated Sporting Lisbon star Gelson Martins.
According to reports in Portugal, the Merseyside club are ready to launch a bid for the forward after scouting him throughout the season.
Martins has been one of Sporting's key players this term, scoring six goals in 32 outings and the club are bracing themselves for interest.
His release clause is set at £46.5m but it has been suggested that Sporting would be willing to sell him for just under £40m under the right circumstances.
And, with Martins aged just 22, Liverpool might decide that represents good value for money on a player whose prime years lie ahead of him.
