Liverpool thief steals a car’s bonnet in just three minutes while the owner slept

This is the bizarre moment a brazen yob spent three minutes meticulously removing the bonnet of a family car before making off with it - while the vehicle's owner slept just yards away.

CCTV captured by Jennifer Vicars, 38, showed the hooded male unscrewing the front of her black Ford Focus vehicle outside her home at 5am last Friday before fleeing the scene.

The teacher, from Liverpool, had been woken by her car alarm just ten minutes earlier but could see no sign of an intruder when she went outside to investigate.

But once Ms Vicars returned to bed, the man, carrying tools, was spotted on camera carrying out the theft.
