Liverpool target Stefan de Vrij is stalling over signing a new contract with Lazio.
The defender's current deal expires at the end of this season and he is still yet to pen an extension.
Lazio are locked in talks with the 25-year-old but, according to Calciomercato, negotiations have hit a brick wall.
De Vrij is reportedly unhappy with the proposed release clause in his new deal and wants it to be lowered.
Lazio are demanding that any release clause in the Dutchman's contract is at least £26.5m, but he wants it to be around £22m.
