Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli rejected by Serie A club Sassuolo

Italian striker Mario Balotelli faces an uncertain future as Serie A side Sassuolo rejected the chance to sign the out-of-favour Liverpool striker.

Balotelli, 26, has been deemed surplus to requirements at Anfield, with manager Jurgen Klopp ordering him to train with the club's Under-23 side.

There have been rumours of a move to Turkish giants Besiktas, but the club's coach Senol Gunes has since had a change of heart in signing the player.

His agent Mina Raiola has been trying to look for alternatives, with Sassuolo chief executive Giovanni Carnevali revealing that Italian forward was offered to them.
