Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has undergone surgery on the knee injury that is set to rule him out for the rest of the season.
Mane suffered meniscus damage in his left knee after colliding with Leighton Baines during Liverpool's 3-1 win over Everton in the Merseyside derby earlier this month.
The 25-year-old Senegal international travelled to London on Tuesday to undergo surgery and was seen leaving a private hospital on crutches later in the afternoon.
The injury is expected to keep Mane out of action for around eight weeks - effectively ending his first season with the Anfield club.
